It seems like there has been some misunderstanding because some people think that only that people who identify as females can only be witches. I am here to put those beliefs to rest.

What is a "non-binary person?"

Before we get started if you don’t already know what nonbinary means, I will define it here. If you already know what it means, feel free to scroll past. In essence, someone who identifies as nonbinary means that they don’t exclusively identify as male or female. Sometimes they lean more towards one gender or the other, or they could feel like both male and female, or neither, or a combination of all 3. The term nonbinary can be used as an umbrella term or as an individual label. Every nonbianry person is differnt so it is near impossible to create one single cohesive definiton!

So, can guys be witches?

Of course, they can! Anyone can be a witch. Witchcraft doesn’t get to pick and choose who they want to practice. We love non-female witches!!!!

Terms, Labels, and Such

While calling yourself a witch isn’t mandated, it’s the most common term throughout the community. While some people think it’s okay to call someone who doesn’t exclusively identify as a girl a warlock, they are mistaken. The term warlock is actually perceived as a derogatory term that means “oath breaker.”
